Keila graduated with honors from Leland West University with a degree in Journalism. She interned at the Anne Arbor Tribune during her final two years of college and was offered a job as soon as she graduated. She worked her way up to investigative reporter in three short years making her the youngest person in the department at 24. At 28 she was poised to take over the department until she ran a story that ruined the career she worked so hard to achieve. Now working as a 'reporter to the stars' at The Scoop, a rag magazine, Keila hopes to one day return to the world of legitimate news.
Janice Scott-Founder/Editor
Janice founded The Scoop in 1996 wanting to cash in on the paparazzi craze. In its early days, she ran it out of her apartment and her only employee was her long time friend Grant Delani. Grant has moved on to the world of 'legitimate' news and Janice has built a small tabloid empire but the two remain close friends.
Robert 'Robbie' Marten-Photographer
Robbie has a passion for photography and video games. At 23 he loves working at The Scoop because to him it's more play than work. Take a few pictures, get paid nicely, and not stuck in the typical 9-5 office work environment. This for now is his dream job.
Margo Ellison-Reporter
Margo has been working for Janice for 8 years. Other reporters have come and gone during that time but Margo has stuck it out with her eye on the prize. Janice has been hinting to wanting to sell the magazine and Margo wants it. Keila joining the team might put a kink in Margo's plans.
The Anne Arbor Tribune Staff
Grant Delani- Editor-in-Chief
At the tender age of 31, Grant was the youngest Editor-In-Chief the Tribune has ever hired. Getting his start in journalism thanks to his friend Janice Scott, Grant had a drive and determination that couldn't be denied. Grant saw a lot of himself in Keila which was one of the reason their brief relationship worked out so well. Firing her was one of the hardest things he ever had to do in the position he's held for the last four years, but a price had to be paid.
Carol Safford- Executive Assistant
Carol has worked as Grant's Executive Assitant since he was promoted to Editor four years ago.
At 55 Gregg has the most seniority at the paper. He was Keila's direct boss and he caught the most heat when the story implicating the Mayor was ran. He still harbors hard feelings towards Grant and the board of directors for him being passed over for the Editor-In-Chief job.
Victoria May-Asst. Editor, International News
Been with the paper for 10 years. Been Asst. Editor for 2 years. Graduated from Leland West University with a major in Journalism and a minor in Linguistics.
Jorge Escobar -Asst. Editor, Sports
Phil played minor league baseball and was slotted to go up to the majors but a motorcycle accident injured his knee leaving him unable to play. He's had a great career at the Tribune writing about his passion.
Becky Rogers-Asst. Editor, Feature Stories
Becky is probably the only person not gunning for Grant's job. She was promoted to Asst. Editor when Grant got the Editor-In-Chief job. She enjoyed working under him when he ran her department and was more than excited to take over when he moved up. She's always been known as the mother of the group, making sure everyone is taken care of and often mediating when things get heated.
This will come in handy. Looking forward to meeting all these fine journalists =)
